I was eleven years old when I got my first Encyclopedia Brown, Boy
Detective and I was immediately hooked on mysteries. No Nancy Drew for
me, I wanted to know how the boys found the clues and solved the caper so I could do it better. I loved that Leroy Brown, despite being just a kid, helped his father at work (he was Chief of Police). I love that for twenty-five cents, you got Encyclopedia Brown on the case (no case too small).
Since majoring in English Literature in college and reading Hamlet for my Introduction to Shakespeare class, I've been killing people in my head. It's not a nuts as it sounds. I've been fascinated by what motivates people to take such drastic measures like killing to solve their problems. The most interesting of human experiences can lead to violence; true love, fleeting passion, and greed. In my stories, the villain is never as clever as the heroine.
There is no time like the present to follow your dreams so I'm currently working on my debut novel.
